A brand new renovation, this historic bungalow is minutes from downtown and the airport, but tucked away on a tree lined street in a hot & rapidly gentrifying neighborhood called Woodbine, a local insider secret. Many consider it the "New East Nashville" and the values in this area have doubled over the last couple of years, as the demand for areas close to downtown has exploded. The neighborhood is a mix of vintage homes, and new infill construction and development.
Nashville Music City Roost has been lovingly restored and decorated by the owner--call it relaxed elegance—a cool vibe but never stuffy. It offers such features as original hardwood floors, french doors, custom African Rhino barn wood tile, new bathrooms and an updated vintage kitchen. It is run by owner/operators Marsha and John, who spent years in the Nashville music scene as a songwriter and artist manager respectively. The retro interior represents a throwback to a different time, while embracing the new Nashville as one of the hottest destinations in the country. Call it Urban Cowboy meets West Elm!
When you stay in our cottage and come back home from the action of downtown or seeing the sights of Nashville, you can truly relax in the living room and read, write, work on your computer (with Wi-Fi provided) or watch TV. You can hang out in the dining room right off the open kitchen that is surrounded by a wall of pretty windows and is bright and sunny in the daytime. During your stay don't miss the local art from Nashville and Memphis, and the antiques from all over the USA, that are part of the furnishings of this home. We are stocked w/everything you'll need to make your stay the most comfortable. There are new and vintage iron beds with brand new mattresses & box springs, two sets of sheets, blankets and fully stocked with fresh towels, an iron, ironing board and blow dryer all for your comfort. The kitchen has a full array of coffee, herbal & black teas, coffee maker, creamers, sugar & Stevia. Kitchen is also stocked with plates, cutlery, glasses, wine glasses, napkins, pots and pans & everything else you would need if you want to hang in one evening or gorgeous afternoon, instead of eating out. There is a large lush backyard with a deck, table & chairs for outdoor dining, extra seating & lighting & a fire pit with fire logs provided. There are a great set of plastic dishware in the open shelves in the kitchen if you decide to dine outside.
Use this dwelling place as the home base for your trip with a quick Uber or Lyft ride downtown, or a retreat to unplug if that’s what you need. Relax in the open and comfortable interior spaces, dine outside on the deck under outdoor lights, or sit and sip by the outdoor fire pit. Venture out to the local restaurants in this diverse ethnic food scene, hop downtown or visit the Nashville Zoo.
We are personally committed to making your stay the best. Enjoy a meal outdoors on the backdeck!
We'd been dying to visit Nashville and this bungalow did not disappoint. It's only a few minute Uber ride from downtown and it was perfect for us to be just outside all the noise and chaos, and was just what we were looking for. Designed with a vintage Mid-Century vibe, Marsha has decorated it with love and it really shows! It's completely stocked with everything you could need, and there is a beautiful outdoor dining area and backyard fire pit. Marsha could not have shown more hospitality and was available by cell phone to make sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. Thank you Marsha! We will definitely be booking here again.

Marsha was great to work with and very accommodating! She did a great job in decorating this house with the vintage charm. We loved her decor! The house was stocked with coffee and tea and she even left us some Proseco to help celebrate the new year. I double checked with her if she had a hair dryer there before we arrived and she did not, but was kind enough to go out and buy one for our visit. She even asked me what kind I had and bought that kind. It was very sweet and she was eager to make sure we had everything to enjoy our stay. We had a great time and cooked breakfast there on Saturday morning. My friends and I all travelled in town for a concert at the Bridgestone arena for New Years. There were 5 adults in our party. We saved a lot of money that we would have spent in a hotel downtown. Marsha's house was much more comfortable than a pricy hotel and she is sure to make you happy if she knows your needs. Thanks Marsha for a great stay!

I love this place! I stayed here to "recharge" and I couldn't be happier. The house is adorable and very well kept. Marsha was great at making sure I had everything I needed. If i had a question, she responded to me right away. I was able to have a relaxing afternoon and evening...cooked dinner (everything I needed was provided in the kitchen). The back yard was perfect. It was a little chilly that evening, but I was able to have a fire outside in the afternoon. Logs provided and easy for a single gal to start! The bed is super comfortable..shower and bathrooms very well kept. Modern and just a very quant and fun place to stay. The location is great. Grocery store is about 3 minutes away and a movie theatre, restaurants, shopping about 8 as well as downtown! If you are looking for a place to relax or to check out Nashville, I highly recommend this house. You won't be disappointed!

Loved everything about this cool vintage home. I travel to Nashville about once a month and my normal homes were booked up during this last stay so I booked Marsha's home and I am so glad I did, because it quickly became one of my FAVORITES in town. The home is located right outside of all the action which makes for a nice quite cup of coffee on the porch in the mornings and a quick $8 uber into the bars! If you've been to Nashville more than once you can appreciate staying a few miles from the craziness. I would highly recommend staying a couple miles outside of Broadway - this gives you an opportunity to see how the locals live + a cheap uber to every tourist attraction possible. The place looks just like the pictures. It was super clean, adorably decorated and truly represented the authentic Nashville style. I felt very very safe in the neighborhood. The backyard is awesome! Marsha was such a great host, she reached out as soon as I got to town to make sure everything was good, left us champagne in the fridge and made herself available for anything we needed. The beds were super comfy, bathrooms were extremely clean and a big open kitchen to prepare our dinners. I will be staying at the home again! If this home is available during your stay - book it. You won't regret it!! Enjoy:)
